For this project, I reimagined an existing New York Botanical Garden event series and designed a poster collection tailored to attract college students. The goal was to modernize the original event branding by introducing bold visual language, contemporary typography, and a cohesive system that could appeal to a younger audience on and around my campus.
Each poster highlights different events within the series. The result is a set of promotional materials that feel fresh, accessible, and aligned with the expectations of a student demographic. NYBG is known to use bold or bright colors, and typography that is large, stylistic and unique. I decided to choose a complementary font of my own, since a parameter for the project was that I must find new fonts that still capture the essence of my chosen event but does not match their style guide perfectly. The project explores how thoughtful design can revitalize institutional events and increase engagement through clear messaging and strong visual identity.
